We searched through quite a number of apartments on VRBO, and finally settled on this one. It was everything we could have hoped for. The lenai was particularly spectacular - it was private and had an unobstructed view looking out over the ocean. We spent each of our nights sitting on the lenai with a glass of wine and watching the sun set. It was also very close to everything that Kona had to offer, and an easy drive to the rest of the island. The pool was nice, although a bit small, and there was a wonderful little coffee shop on the condo grounds where we picked up our morning coffee and breakfast! What a delight!
The property doesn't have air condition, and the ceiling fans did very little to help draw air through the property. We bought a floor fan and left it there. I think a few more fans should be purchased for the summer months.
Lose the so called air conditioner. It blew air not cool air. Add a sun shade to the outside of the deck for late afternoon. Sun shines directly into deck and living room for several hours.
As we wrote in the guest register, 4110 Alii Dr, grows on you. We arrived late and tired and were disappointed that the "Air-conditioner" in the bedroom turned out to be a "Rinky-Dink Cooler" that didn't "Cool". Aside from that, the condo was nicely appointed and the grounds were beautiful. Brad Lusk was very helpful when called. Our view was awesome and we enjoyed our stay.Suggestion: Either replace that "cooler" with one that works, or call it like it is.
Overall, we were very happy with Unit 4110. We were disappointed to learn the unit's phone had been disconnected by the owner, however, Brad and Sherry from Prince Vacation Properties took care of that in a couple of days, getting us a cell phone to use. We were pleased with the location and the views right over the water with the excellent sunsets. The condo property including the barbecues, pool and hot tub were well maintained. We would definitely like to return to this condo and also would recommend it to anyone.
This particular condo is great for location and ocean front. Unfortunately, the owners have not put the money into updating the furniture (way too small couch and uncomfortable), kitchen utensils, and lanai furniture. I would definitely stay at Sea Village again (this is our 2nd time), but I would choose a different unit.Grilling area is superb, but quite a hike from unit.
This unit is perfect for two people. The location was exactly what we wanted and the view was amazing. The lanai does get wet from the surf, so if you don't want that, you would need to find a different unit. This is very clearly stated in the ad, so we were prepared for that and loved it. The grounds are beautiful, the hot tub next to the ocean was perfect after being gone all day, the BBQ's were brand new. The negatives were the loveseat, which of course is not big enough for two to stretch out on. We were gone most of the days, but at night, we made our dinner either on the wonderful BBQ's or in the condo. A more comfortable couch would be nice. The shower, a nice walk in tile and glass brick, was fine, but the hot water was scarce - we had to make sure we "budgeted" the water so we could both get a lukewarm shower. I like my shower hot. Neither of those things would keep me from going back.
Property was very close to town that we could walk everywhere we wanted to...shopping, night life, luau, etc. Yet just off the main core to sit and relax. Lots of activity to watch in the bay from the lanai. Very clean, use of washer/dryer, AC, great price, spacious closet.
We liked the condo, our complaint was the couch is not comfortable for one let alone two.
Loved it, Sherry & Brad were great. Everything you ever wanted was close by and the condo was home away from home. WE will be back
The couch is too small and pretty uncomfortable and the bedroow a/c does not adequately cool other rooms on a hot day with no breeze. We would use this unit again regardless of these items.
Thank you for your feed back Linda. While new and very nice to look at the couch is something the owner is considering. Thank you again. See you soon we hope. Brad (mgr)
The view of the beach was stunning and the sunsets were amazing to watch from the lanai. We were even lucky enough to spot a group of spinner dolphins swimming across the ocean from the lanai. It was gorgeous!
This was our second time staying at one of your condos--we loved the ocean front, condo decor, nice area. The only comment we have bsides the gratitude and praise is that we couldn't find back-up papr produts so we bought our own. No biggy, but felt you might wan to know this. The sunsets from this condo & the Kona Reef are magnificent! We continually refer your properties to others. Mahalo
We are very disappointed with your service. If you will recall, on one of our first nights that we were in the condo, we were awakened by a man coming in the door. Both my wife and I were very frightened by this event. Your phone call the next day, explaining that he was a locksmith allayed our fears. However we feel the apology was given a flippant way. Your lack of your appearance in person and lack of compensation for our inconvenience also annoyed us. We felt that we got no empathy for our situation. We let it slide, at that time, because we were only staying a week. We are an older and very responsible couple. We feel that we went out of our way to report our concerns about the condo. For example: We reported that there was no light on the lanai, no light over the stove and our concerns about recycling. On the day of the high waves, we even called for instructions on how to put up the boards. Please note that a more senior couple would not be able to move them. As a responsible couple, we would have reported any other damage done to the condo upon our departure. We feel also, that you have not proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the stain is ours and that it didn't respond first to Resolve. We have only your word for this and how do we know it's true. We feel you are taking advantage of us and the fact that we live 10,000 miles away. We didn't know a stain even existed. You produced a picture but how do we know that it was caused by us. You have not told us what the stain actually is. Also, you sent us two letters after the mention of a stain. The letters stated that we left the place clean and even thanked us for it. That to us, means that you acknowledged that it wasn't our stain and were returning our whole refund to us. It was a complete surprise when we checked the balance of our Visa and found that you had taken the $85+ out of the security deposit. We would like to know exactly what the stain was and what physical
