Perfect Location, Very Nice Unit

The complex was in a great location, not too far from town, but set back from the road so we had no traffic noise. The condo unit was also great, close enough to the water that we could hear the waves crashing outside our bedroom window at night, and beautiful
views from the lanai. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the dryer was horrible - it took about two hours to dry a small to medium load of laundry, longer for a full load. I suppose we could have called management and maybe they would have
had the dryer serviced or repairs, but we just didn't think to do that at the time, instead we just worked around it (hang drying, etc.) My daughter (age 9) loved having the loft bedroom all to herself and my husband made great use of the several boogie boards
in the unit. There were also a couple beach chairs, sand toys, and beach towels that we used almost daily. We would definitely recommend the Kona Makai complex and this unit in particular (we stayed in a different unit last year which was also nice, but we
like this one closer to the water). Again, the only complaint would be the dryer does not seem to work properly. Oh, and some of the silverware was a bit dirty, which is why I only gave 4 stars on cleanliness - but a quick hand washing took care of that easily.
