Kona Reef D18
Donald F from Concord, NC recommends this property
Stayed 7 days in July, 2011
This condo was exactly what we wanted for our stay in Kona. When we were looking for condos in Kona we had 3 requirements - close to town, great view, and internet access. This unit met two of the three upon arrival (please see details below).
The condo was within easy walking distance of downtown shopping and restaurants, had it's own beach, and as a corner unit had a fantastic view from the lanai.
The unit was nicely appointed, and the kitchen had everything you could want if you wanted to cook. The bedrooms were a nice size, and with two bathrooms there was no rush to take showers, etc.
We only had two problems during our stay. First, the refrigerator door had a tendency to pop open even when it was carefully closed. It appeared the door seal was torn and would not permit a good seal at all times. This was reported to Prince Properties and
was to be corrected after our stay.
The second, and much more bothersome was the unit was advertised as having internet access. After trying unsuccessfully to find where or how to connect, I contacted Prince Properties. I was told that no one else before us had ever had a problem. I tried everything
that their maintenance person suggested with no luck. Prince Properties tried to contact the owner to find out what happened with the internet access, but they were never able to get in contact with her. This made it very difficult for me to work from the
condo as I had to use an alternate method of internet access.
This is a great property, and the only thing that would keep us from staying here again would be if they don't get the internet access issue resolved, or if the end result is that the unit no longer has internet access.
